Personal Shopper Uses Her Business to Take Care of Her Community
KK On The Way offers grocery shopping & direct to door delivery services from any store. Serving Renton, Kent, Covington, and more!

After taking a year long sabbatical from her corporate career, Kristin Klatkiewicz started shopping with a popular grocery delivery app as a way to fill the gap between jobs. She quickly realized that she had discovered her next career path. Now, 1500 orders later, she opened her own personal shopping and delivery company, KK On The Way. Starting her own small business allows Kristin to build local connections and take care of her community, in a way that she wasn’t able to as a shopper for the big name grocery delivery platform.
As a Midwest transplant (yes, she’s a Packers fan), Kristin grew up in Bellingham and later found herself settled down in Covington. She found that starting her own small business has allowed her to build connections in her immediate and surrounding communities. For Kristin, it’s all about feeling connected. She loves building relationships with others in her community and being able to serve her neighbors in a needed way. She describes her business as “not just delivery”.
“KK On The Way offers personalized shopping experience that you can’t get anywhere else. I offer services and fill needs not provided by other delivery platforms- can shop anywhere for just about anything, which no other service can do and you don’t pay any hidden markups or fees. That means you can feel good about supporting local businesses as well as my very own small one!”
Having worked for a grocery delivery app in the past, Kristin found that she wasn't able to truly serve her customers: she was forced to rush through shopping, and treat them as a job, not a person. The last thing a customer wants is to go to the store themselves after their grocery drop-off was done badly or is missing items. By running her own business she can devote the time and attention to her customers the way she wants to. KK On The Way is powered by the dumpling app, which allows customers to connect with Kristin, choose any local store, and build their list through an in-app product search or by creating custom items. Customers are guaranteed top notch service from the moment they download the app, all the way through delivery. Kristin shared one of her favorite experiences she’s had with a customer:

“Recently I was shopping an order for a long time customer. While chatting with her over text, I saw banana split ice cream-the kind I knew she wanted every time I shopped for her last summer and it was always out of stock-I remembered and offered to add it to her order for her. I was just as excited as she was! How could you NOT be excited about finally getting the ice cream you’d been waiting over a year for and forgotten about? It’s those little things.”
Currently, there’s no app out there that can remember your favorite, crave-worthy treat and let you know it’s in stock. Enter, Kristin! Choosing to order from KK On The Way not only ensures that you reap the benefits of Kristin’s ability to personalize your orders, her grocery shopping expertise and price transparency (you get the receipt from the store), but you also get to enjoy the warm fuzzy feeling of knowing that you’re supporting a local, small business owner.
