Redemption: Hazen Denies Franklin 36-15

Highlanders return to playoffs for first time since 1993

Nearly a year after Franklin denied Hazen of its ticket to the 3A state playoffs, the Highlanders found themselves right back at the gate. But this time, Hazen wasn’t going to be denied.

Instead the Highlanders capitalized on several Franklin turnovers to beat the Quakers 36-15 and return to the state playoffs for the first time since 1993.

Hazen coach Drew Oliver said after the game he was happy with his team’s ability to take the ball away but believes his team can play better as they only played three of the four quarters.
