Renton Author Signs on To Participate In Children's Book Day Expo!
It is important for children to see characters representative of themselves on book pages. Children's Book Day brings that to the forefront.
Renton resident and author Swannee Rivers would like to send out a special invite to all Renton residents. She has signed on to participate in the SUBE (Children's Book Day,) which will take place at:
BIPOC Children's Book Day- 1119 8th Avenue, Seattle, WA 98101 5.27.23
Representation matters in children’s literature, and in partnership with Seattle Urban Book Expo (S.U.B.E.), Town Hall Seattle is pleased to host the Spring Children’s Book Day just in time for the end of the school year.
With over a dozen authors and local educational organizations joining us, it will be a day of positivity, uplifting stories, family-friendly activities, and the opportunity to meet — and purchase books from — some favorite BIPOC writers!
Special activities include:
