Renton Chase Ends When Officer Rams Armed Robbers' SUV
Renton police say they spotted five people in an SUV who are suspects in a series of local armed robberies.

RENTON, WA — A group of armed robbers were arrested in Renton Wednesday afternoon after a chase that ended when an officer rammed the robbers' SUV.
The chase began when officers recognized an SUV associated with a series of armed robberies in the area. When officers tried to pull the SUV over, the driver sped off. Near the intersection of Talbot Road and South 43rd Street, a Renton officer driving an SUV rammed the robbers' vehicle, sending it crashing into a wooded area.
Around 4:30 p.m., Renton police reported that they were tracking a group of people near the Valley Medical Center with K9 dogs. The five people in the SUV fled on foot, but four of them were later arrested. No one was injured, but police did find a gun at the scene of the crash.

Police said the suspects were taken to jail on felony charges. The woman driving the SUV was taken to jail on an outstanding felony warrant.
