Renton Childhood Cancer Survivor Hosting Lemonade Fundraiser Saturday
Antonio Gonzales and his family are holding their annual lemonade fundraiser to benefit cancer research this Saturday.

RENTON, WA - A local survivor of childhood cancer will host his annual lemonade fundraiser this Saturday to benefit cancer research. This is the twelfth lemonade stand Antonio Gonzales and his mother, Olivia, have hosted in Renton in conjunction with the charity Alex's Lemonade Days. The Gonzales family has raised over $33,000 over that time.
Alex's Lemonade Days was founded in 2004 by Alexandra Scott, who died of cancer in 2004. Antonio Gonzales was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma in 2004 and has been in remission since 2005. The Gonzales family hosted the first lemonade stand fundraiser in 2006.
Antonio's lemonade stand will feature more than just a delicious summer drink. There will also be carnival games, a visit from Seafair pirates, food, face painting, and an auction. Puyallup-based Niagra Bottling has agreed to match all donations up to $10,000.
