Renton Christmas Day DUI Crash Sends 3 to Hospital

RENTON, WA - Police say a driver under the influence caused a two-car crash that sent three people to the hospital early on Christmas Day.

The crash happened near Renton Avenue South and South 132nd Avenue east of the Skyway area around 5:30 a.m. on Christmas. The suspected DUI driver apparently crossed into oncoming traffic and hit another vehicle with two people inside. All three had serious but non-life threatening injuries, police said.

"Please enjoy the holidays and make transportation arrangements if you or someone you know will be under the influence of drugs or alcohol," the department wrote on its Facebook page.
