Renton Drive-By Shooting Connected To Domestic Dispute, Police Say
The drive-by shooting happened early Wednesday morning along Sunset Boulevard in the Renton Highlands area.

RENTON, WA - A man was arrested early Wednesday morning for assault after a drive-by shooting along Sunset Boulevard, according to Renton police. The shooting followed a domestic violence incident involving the suspect's wife. There were no injuries in the shooting
Police responded to the 900 block of Sunset Boulevard Northeast - in the vicinity of the Renton Highlands Library - at 1 a.m. Wednesday on a report of shots fired. Nearby, police discovered a "heated dispute" and a car that contained an empty box of ammunition, and two young children in the backseat. Along Northeast 10th Street, police found .45-caliber shell casings.
Police were able to locate a suspect, who they say had been involved in a domestic dispute with his wife at a home along Northeast 6th Place, near Highlands Elementary School, just prior to the shooting. The wife had fled to a friend's home along Northeast 10th Street, which is apparently where the shooting took place.
