RENTON, WA — The Renton Farmers Market opens for the season on Tuesday at the Piazza Park downtown. The grand opening ceremony will feature Mayor Denis Law, the Hazen High School Jazz Band, plus plenty of food, crafts, and even some beer and wine.

But the festivities don't end there. There's an entire summer of events planned for each weekly market, including food trucks, cooking demonstrations, and even an appearance by local gardening guru Ciscoe Morris. For parents, there's a "kids patch" area that provides childcare services while you shop.

And of course, there will always be a range of vendors selling fresh produce, cheese, and other goods. One new vendor this year is Hell or High Water Farm from Enumclaw, whose vendors will be selling fresh eggs.
