Renton Fire Department Warns Of Bogus Fire Inspections

RENTON, WA - There are reports that a private company is going door-to-door in the city asking to conduct fire inspections and saying they are sponsored by the Renton Regional Fire Authority - and the department wants residents to know they would never do something like that.

Fire Marshal Anjela St. John said that fire officials will always wear uniforms and conduct inspections in person. She has written a letter to residents asking them to contact her if they encounter anyone saying they are conducting fire inspections on behalf of the apartment.
