Renton Firefighters Assist After Deadly Wednesday I-5 Crash (Updates)
The department's dive team helped recover a victim of a Tuesday car crash from a retention pond off of I-5.

RENTON, WA - A 24-year-old Yakima man died after crashing into a retention pond in Federal Way on Wednesday morning, according to Washington State Patrol.
The Renton Fire Department's dive team assisted King County emergency responders in recovering the man from the retention pond, which is off of I-5 near the 320th Street exit.
The crash happened around 6 a.m. Wednesday in Federal Way near the 320th Street exit ramp. The driver of the vehicle, a Honda Passport, was seen driving erratically before crashing through a guardrail and into the pond, according to reports.
