4 People Displaced By House Fire In Skyway
No one was home at the time of the fire, but four residents are reportedly now homeless, according to the Puget Sound Fire.
SKYWAY, WA - Firefighters from a number of local departments responded to a house fire in the Skyway area on Wednesday morning. The fire reportedly began on the porch of the home and spread to the interior. Firefighters appeared to have most of the flames out quickly, but were still working to put out the fire on Wednesday afternoon.
The fire was reported around 11 a.m. Wednesday along the 7600 block of South 126th Street, close to the Renton border. Firefighters from King County Fire District 20 - whose headquarters is within sight of where the fire broke out - Renton, and Tukwila all responded to the scene.
According to Puget Sound Fire, no one was home at the time of the fire, but assistance from the Red Cross was called for four people who live in the home. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
