Renton Gets New Two-Way Street
Driving in downtown Renton got a little easier Friday after the city completed turning a one-way into a two-way.

RENTON, WA - Driving in the downtown Renton area got a little easier Friday. The city completed turning Main Avenue South into a two-way street at the intersection of Houser Way. Up until now, cars heading north on Main Avenue were forced to turn right onto 3rd Street and Houser Way.
Now, drivers can continue along the two-way Main Avenue through the downtown area.
The new street configuration opened Friday morning. The two-way Main Avenue extension continues to South Second Street. Once there, you'll be able to make a right onto Second, or continue north onto Bronson Way.

The new street configuration coincides with the construction of a new mixed-use residential building at the corner of Main and Second across from Ben's Loan.
