Renton Man Arrested On 11th DUI: State Police
The 59-year-old man was arrested last Friday along I-5 in Seattle.

SEATTLE, WA - A 59-year-old Renton man was arrested by state police in Seattle last weekend on his 11th DUI, according to Washington State Patrol. The man actually stopped and approached officers, which is when they noticed "several indicators of impairment." The man was arrested at the scene and is being held in jail on $500,000 bond.
The arrest happened around 2 a.m. on April 14. Two state police officers were stopped along I-5 near Albro Place investigating reports of a fire. That's when Dean K. Hermsen pulled up behind the officers, and stepped out of his car, state police say.
When the officers checked Hermsen's criminal history, they found 10 prior DUI convictions, including two felony DUIs. Hermsen was supposed to be using an ignition interlock device, but his car didn't have one.
