Renton Murder Victim Identified

RENTON, WA - The man found dead of a gunshot wound early Saturday morning in the Benson Hill neighborhood was identified Monday. The 24-year-old man was found in a car shortly before 4 a.m. Saturday along Southeast 179th Street. Another man in the car sustained gunshot wounds to the legs, but did survive.

The King County Medical Examiner's office identified the victim as Cleden Jimerson, 24. The medical examiner said that Jimerson died of a gunshot wound to the head.

Police first reported the shooting at around 3:45 a.m. Saturday. The victims were found in a car along the 11300 block of Southeast 179th Street, about one block south of Petrovitsky. Police believe the shooting happened elsewhere and the victims drove to that location.

On Sunday, Renton police Cmdr. David Liebman said that detectives were still searching for suspects in the shooting. Liebman said the man who was in the car with Jimerson was uncooperative with investigators.
