RENTON, WA - Police issued a warning to local residents not to believe calls coming from a company claiming to be from Microsoft tech support.
Police say that a company called MDU Resources has been calling locals claiming to be from the "Microsoft Windows team" and warning about a computer virus affecting the person's machine. Police are warning not to give out personal information to these callers.
Renton Police say the calls are coming from the number 541-850-0438. They advise anyone receiving these calls to contact them or the Federal Trade Commission.
