Renton Traffic Alert: 7-Mile Backup Reported After Serious Crash
The accident was partially blocking lanes of northbound and southbound I-405 near 2 p.m. Tuesday.
RENTON, WA - A large accident has closed down northbound lanes of I-405 in Renton near Northeast 30th Street, which is near May Creek Park and Newcastle.
The Washington state Department of Transportation was warning drivers to expect long delays in that area.

Reports from rescue crews indicate that the crash is serious and there may be multiple injuries. Photos from the scene show a pickup truck resting on the roof of a smaller car. Firefighters were trying to extract a driver from that car.
