Renton's Sunset Neighborhood Getting Makeover On Saturday
The Sunset Neighborhood project was chosen by the public as part of Cricket's Connecting Communities initiative with Rebuilding Together.
RENTON, WA - From Cricket Wireless: Cricket Wireless and Rebuilding Together Seattle is set to begin its Sunset Neighborhood revitalization project, which will include clean-up of a community garden and dog park along with the addition of a community mural located on Calvary Baptist Church.
The project is part of Cricket’s and Rebuilding Together’s joint “Connecting Communities" initiative and will also include:
- New signage
- Green House roof repair
- Garden lighting for safety
- Distribution of Safe at Home Kits
The Connecting Communities initiative kicked off in 5 cities – Baltimore, Detroit, Miami, Minneapolis and Seattle. Cricket contributed a total of $150,000 to fund 15 projects, 3 in each city. The initiative is a part of Cricket’s new corporate social responsibility initiative, Cricket Cares, which launched in May 2017. The effort
aims to address the needs of the communities where Cricket employees and customers live, work and play.
