Retired California Cop Tackles Suspected DUI Driver In Renton
The retired Los Gatos, Calif., officer helped Renton police catch the suspect after a hit-and-run crash.

RENTON, WA - Renton police got a little help from a retired Caifornia police officer catching a suspected DUI suspect on Saturday.
Around 3 p.m. Saturday, police responded to the 900 block of Aberdeen Avenue Northeast on a report of a crash involving two parked cars. The suspected DUI driver hit the two parked cars with his vehicle, totaling them, Renton police said.
The driver tried to get away, but his car stalled. He then got out of the car and started running. That's when a retired officer from Los Gatos, Calif., stepped in. The retired cop tackled the suspect and held him until Renton officers got to the scene.

The incident occurred near the intersection of Sunset Boulevard, just east of I-405.
