'Major Backup' Expected After I-405 Crash In Renton
Two people were injured in the possible hit-and-run crash Wednesday morning. WSP said to expect major backups during the investigation.
RENTON, WA — A possible hit-and-run collision that left two people injured was expected to create long backups along I-405 in Renton throughout the early part of Wednesday.
The crash was reported around 10 a.m. and was blocking northbound I-405 lanes at the SR 167 interchange. At least two people were injured in the crash, according to the Renton Fire Department. One of them was in critical condition.
Two lanes in the area will be closed for a while due to the investigation, according to Washington State Patrol.

"It will be an extended closure of the two lanes. Please avoid the area since there will be a major backup," Trooper Rick Johnson said.
