Skyway Fire Chief Resigns For New Job
Fire Chief Joseph Clow announced his resignation on Tuesday at a fire district board meeting.
SKYWAY, WA - The chief of Fire District 20, which covers this unincorporated area of King County between Seattle and Renton, announced his resignation effective Jan. 28 in front of the fire board Tuesday afternoon.
Chief Joseph Clow is taking a position at another fire department that's close to where his daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren live.
"My resignation is only based on an opportunity to move closer to family and not on any factor related to my position and the operation of KCFD 20," he said in a resignation letter.

Clow has been chief of the department since September 2015. The fire board has asked him to develop a transition plan so the district can find a replacement.
