Snow Helps Police Stop Car Thieves In Renton
This is perhaps the one good instance of a car getting stuck in the snow this week.

RENTON, WA - Seattle and Renton police caught a car thief this week with a little help from Mother Nature.
On Tuesday, a 2018 BMW 430i was stolen from a car rental facility in SeaTac. On Wednesday morning, the car's tracking system alerted Seattle police that the car was near Magnuson Park. When officers approached, the driver took off.
Police didn't need to chase the car because of the tracking system. The officers watched as the car traveled south to the Central District, across I-90, and eventually into Renton.

The drivers headed down a street into a neighborhood, which, of course, had not been plowed. The thick snow and slush thwarted the thieves, and all three people in the car were arrested by Renton police and taken to the youth jail in Seattle.
