RENTON, WA - A 27-year-old man accused of accosting a 15-year-old at the downtown transit center in early March has been formally charged with luring, according to the Seattle Post-Intelligencer. The man was driving a KIA Sedona at the time of the incident.
At the time, Renton police reported that the man pulled up to where the girl was standing along Logan Avenue South. The suspect then asked the girl if she wanted to take a ride in his van, police said.
According to the P-I, the girl told the suspect, "Leave me alone. No, I'm 15 years old" after he repeatedly tried to entice her to come with him. The suspect allegedly followed the girl to near the Fred Meyer in downtown Renton, which prompted her to call 911. The suspect fled the scene and police released images of him and his van.
