RENTON, WA — Topgolf is expanding its Puget Sound footprint with a new multi-level entertainment complex, breaking ground Tuesday on a large parcel next to The Landing in Renton. In a news release, Topgolf said its state-of-the-art Renton venue would be the first of its kind in Washington.

"This is an exciting moment for the Renton community, and I look forward to the project's groundbreaking and completion," Renton Mayor Armando Pavone said in a statement this week. "The addition of Topgolf to The Landing will serve as another source of entertainment for those who frequent the area and provide more job opportunities for Renton residents.

The project includes a three-story facility with restaurant, bar and event spaces, and room for 102 outdoor hitting bays, according to Topgolf. The plans also feature a large skylit atrium, with yard games, seating and a massive video wall. Once the new facility is operational, the company said it expects to employ more than 500 people.
