U.S. Service Academy Night In Renton

From The Office of Congressman Adam Smith:On May 7, 2019, the Office of Congressman Adam Smith will be organizing an informational presentation on the Congressional Academy Nomination process for all interested high school and middle school students residing in Washington State’s 9th Congressional District. The event will take place at Renton Technical College Room C-111 from 6:00-8:00pm.

This event will show how to obtain a congressional nomination to ensure an appointment and have the opportunity to meet representatives from all U.S. Service Academies (U.S. Military Academy at West Point, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, U.S. Coast Guard Academy, U.S. Air Force Academy, and U.S. Naval Academy). The benefits from U.S. Service Academies include free college tuition, room and board, books, and medical/dental coverage; all while earning a prestigious education and the opportunity to become a military officer. However, because the competition for entry is steep, it is best to plan ahead.
