Woman, 30, Dies After Collapsing Near Renton Shopping Plaza

Renton police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death. The woman was seen bleeding before she collapsed.

RENTON, WA - A 30-year-old woman died in Renton Monday after after collapsing near a busy shopping plaza. The death happened around 4 p.m. Monday along the 4200 block of Northeast 4th Street, which is the address of a plaza that contains a Petco and Safeway grocery store.

According to Renton police, EMS and police officers were called to the scene to assist and worked to revive the woman for a long period. The King County Medical Examiner is investigating the death to determine what happened to the woman.

Witnesses to the incident said that the woman was bleeding from the mouth before she died, and had entered a store in the plaza before collapsing to request a cup of water.
