You Scream, I Scream, We All Scream For (FREE) Ice Cream!

Grab your kids and head to   on Tuesday, April 12, to get a free scoop of Cherry Garcia or any of your favorite flavors for its Free Cone Day.

Although Ben & Jerry's has yet to land in Renton, the nearest scoop shops can be found in Tukwila and Issaquah.

The popular ice cream company is celebrating its 33rd anniversary. Between noon and 8 p.m., it will be giving away free ice cream as a token of appreciation for its customers. 

While you're at the Scoop Shop, try some of its newest flavors:

• Late Night Snack: Inspired by Late Night with Jimmy Fallon – Fair Trade Vanilla Bean Ice Cream with a Salty Caramel Swirl & Fudge Covered Potato Chip Clusters (the fudge uses Fair Trade cocoa, too!)
• Bonnaroo Buzz: Light Coffee & Malt ice creams with Whiskey Caramel swirls & English Toffee pieces. This flavor, inspired by the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, is back by popular demand in Scoop Shops and now available in pints!
• Stephen Colbert’s AmeriCone Dream: Vanilla ice cream with fudge covered waffle cone pieces & a caramel swirl. A long time pint favorite, so popular we made it a scoop shop flavor for the first time this year!
• Clusterfluff: Peanut Butter Ice Cream with Caramel Cluster Pieces, Peanut Butter & Marshmallow Swirls

Another notable ice cream event to mark on the calendar is the ever-popular 31-cent scoop night at Baskin-Robbins on April 27 from 5 to 10 p.m. Renton is lucky enough to have two locations: one at 520 Rainier Avenue and a second location at 17819 108th Avenue SE.
