1 Dead, 5 Injured After Shots Fired In Seattle Suburb

Police said the shooting happened outside a large gathering just before 1 a.m. Saturday.

RENTON, WA — One person was killed and multiple others were injured in a shooting in the Seattle suburb of Renton early Saturday morning, according to police.

Authorities were called to the 100 block of Logan Avenue South just before 1 a.m. for shots fired, according to a statement by Renton police. When police arrived, they found multiple victims, five of whom were treated by first responders on scene. Police confirmed one fatality.

According to authorities, the shooting likely stemmed from a dispute outside of a large gathering, which led to gunfire. The department said multiple agencies were called in to assist due to the massive crowd.

Police said the incident was "not an active shooter situation." The shooting is still under investigation Saturday.
