1 Dead After Water Rescue Call In Fremont
Seattle Fire responded to reports of a person in distress in the Fremont Cut Monday afternoon.
SEATTLE, WA — One person was found dead after a water rescue call in Seattle's Fremont neighborhood Monday afternoon. Seattle Fire crews and Harbor Patrol were called to 2nd Avenue Northwest and Northwest Canal Street, near the Fremont Cut, on reports of a person in distress shortly before 3:30 p.m.
Firefighters found one person dead when they arrived. Seattle Fire said police would retrieve the person from the water and handle the investigation into the incident. Information on how the person ended up in the water was not immediately released.
