'100%' Chance Of Rain This Weekend: National Weather Service

SEATTLE, WA - We didn't want to look, but we did: the forecast for this weekend calls for - you guessed it - rain.

According to the National Weather Service, there's about a 50 percent chance of rain on Saturday. But on Sunday? The chance of rain goes up to 100 percent.

Counting the rain that accumulated on Friday, KING5 meteorologist Jim Guy says that we've seen about double the normal amount of rain so far this month.

Here's the local forecast for this weekend, according to the National Weather Service:

Seattle-Bellevue

Friday night: Showers likely. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 43. South southwest wind 7 to 12 mph increasing to 13 to 18 mph after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Saturday: A 50 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 52. South southwest wind 16 to 18 mph.

Saturday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 41. Southwest wind 8 to 13 mph becoming light and variable.

Sunday: Rain, mainly after 11am. High near 50. South southeast wind 3 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Sunday night: Showers likely. Cloudy, with a low around 44. Breezy, with a south southwest wind 9 to 14 mph increasing to 17 to 22 mph in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Puyallup-Gig Harbor

Friday night: Showers. Low around 42. South southwest wind 13 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Saturday: Showers likely, mainly before 11am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 53. Southwest wind 13 to 16 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Saturday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 40. West southwest wind 6 to 11 mph becoming southeast after midnight.

Sunday: Rain, mainly after 11am. High near 50. East southeast wind 5 to 9 mph becoming south southwest in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
