'100%' Chance Of Rain This Weekend: National Weather Service

If you want to do some gardening this weekend, plan on doing it Saturday morning. Or, get your rain slicker ready.

SEATTLE, WA - We didn't want to look, but we did: the forecast for this weekend calls for - you guessed it - rain.

According to the National Weather Service, there's about a 50 percent chance of rain on Saturday. But on Sunday? The chance of rain goes up to 100 percent.

Counting the rain that accumulated on Friday, KING5 meteorologist Jim Guy says that we've seen about double the normal amount of rain so far this month.

Saturday: A 50 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 52. South southwest wind 16 to 18 mph.

Saturday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 41. Southwest wind 8 to 13 mph becoming light and variable.

Sunday: Rain, mainly after 11am. High near 50. South southeast wind 3 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Sunday night: Showers likely. Cloudy, with a low around 44. Breezy, with a south southwest wind 9 to 14 mph increasing to 17 to 22 mph in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
