15 Apply To Replace Rob Johnson On Seattle Council
Rob Johnson's last day on Seattle City Council was last week. City residents had until April 5 to apply to replace him.

SEATTLE, WA — The Seattle City Council is on track to pick a replacement for former Council member Rob Johnson by the end of April. Fifteen people have submitted applications for the temporary District 4 seat, according to the City Clerk's office.
However, two of the candidates seeking to replace Johnson — Emily Gilbert and Council gadfly Alex Tsimerman — do not live in District 4, according to the City Clerk's office, and so aren't eligible to hold the seat.
The public will get a chance to meet the candidates at a forum on Friday at City Hall. The application deadline was on April 5. The City Clerk is expected to hand all candidate applications to the City Council on Tuesday.
