Seattle-based Alaska Airlines was just one of two U.S. airlines that made the top 10.

SEATTLE, WA - Seattle-based Alaska Airlines has been ranked one of the 10 best airlines in the world, according to the travel website TripAdvisor.com. Alaska was just one of two U.S.-based airlines that made the list. TripAdvisor based its rankings off reviews submitted by travelers between February 2016 and February 2017.
Overall, Alaska came in No. 9 on the list, while New York-based JetBlue Airways came in at No. 4. Alaska is the seventh largest airline in the U.S., and recently acquired the Virgin America brand. According to TripAdvisor reviews, Alaska scored highest on cleanliness, customer service, and its boarding and check-in process.
"Comfortable clean and modern airplane. Friendly service on board, flight was on time and movies were free on local flight," wrote one reviewer from Poulsbo.
