SEATTLE — Washington's largest employer is looking to boost its workforce for the holiday season, with approximately 2,300 seasonal positions up for grabs in the Evergreen State, and 150,000 across the United States.

Amazon said the temporary roles have an average starting pay of $18 an hour, and run as high as $22 in some locations, with potential signing bonuses of up to $3,000.

The seasonal jobs include those on Amazon's stowing, picking, packing and shipping teams, and the company said all new hires will receive full training and work under COVID-19 health and safety protocols. According to Amazon, many seasonal employees return every year, while others use them to transition into full-time, year-round roles.
