Americana Songwriter Brooks Forsyth Performs at The Mill Friday
Forsyth Releases New Album, 'So Much Beyond Us'

Brooks Forsyth has released the modern Americana album So Much Beyond Us and he performs at The Mill Restaurant and Sports Bar in Milton on Friday.
Forsyth has all the qualities that embody the new Americana singer-songwriter. He has a melodic storyteller's voice and is a talented finger picking guitarist who grew up studying the best of classic country.
For his third album, So Much Beyond Us, the North Carolina-born Forsyth sings about love, work and life. But it's the way he does it that is so unique, with great guitar work and full sound.

The new album, So Much Beyond Us, tells of the people and the lessons Brooks has encountered during his 29 years. He recorded with producers Buzz and Parker Cason and musicians include guitarist Sadler Vaden of Jason Isbell’s 400 Unit, Grand Old Opry fiddler Eamon McLoughlin, bassist Michael Rinne and drummer Jon Radford.
The album is a collection of new-style country Americana paying respect to the traditional country blended with contemporary music. Forsyth has been inspired by the great musicians, blending styles as divergent as Hank Williams is from Poco and Pure Prairie League.
Since 2016, Brooks has toured the United States twice, playing live shows and promoting his first two solo albums, On The Lam And Lonesome and Back In Cackalacky. Both albums were recorded at Grenville Art Recording Studio in Boone, N.C., and have received international accolades and radio play.
The diverse collection So Much Beyond Us presents straightforward and catchy songs. Forsyth's mid-range vocal tones emote a unique vulnerability with a strong command over his talents. His guitar picking styles vary from song to song and Brooks enhances his live show with down-home country storytelling and then switches it up with tales of modern roots.
