Aurora Avenue Bridge Repaving Returns This Weekend
You're going to want to avoid SR 99 across the Aurora Bridge this weekend. WSDOT will be closing lanes for repaving work.

SEATTLE, WA — You're going to want to avoid the SR 99 Aurora Bridge this weekend, again.
This weekend, WSDOT crews will reduce lanes along the bridge to one in each direction. This is the second of up to 10 weekends of lanes closures so WSDOT can repave the nearly 100-year-old structure.
The lane closures begin at 7 p.m. Friday and will end by 5 a.m. on Monday. For this weekend's closure, only the northbound side of the bridge will be open, with one lane north and south.

"Expect heavy traffic on the structure, officially known as the George Washington Bridge. Travelers also should expect heavier than usual traffic on the streets in the surrounding neighborhoods of Fremont, Queen Anne, Wallingford and Ballard, as well as on I-5," WSDOT said in a blog post about the lane closures.
Weather permitting, the rest of the closures will take place:
