Bags Containing Human Remains Found At Alki Beach
Two bags containing human remains were found at Alki Beach over the weekend, now Seattle Police are investigating.
SEATTLE, WA — A pair of bags containing human remains were found at West Seattle's Alki beach on Friday. Now, Seattle police have been called to try to figure out where they came from.
According to the police department, officers were first called to a suspicious bag found on the beach near the 1100 block of Alki Avenue Southwest on Friday afternoon. That's just east of Luna Park.
After opening it up, police quickly determined the bag was filled with human remains. After searching nearby, another bag was found adrift in the water, which also had human remains.

Police say they've been working with Harbor Patrol to search the area for any leads or hints to the bags' origins. The King County Medical Examiner's Office has also been called for help identifying the remains.
