Police are investigating after a mans body was found floating in the water near Alaskan Way Monday.

SEATTLE, WA — Police are investigating after a body was found floating in the water near Alaskan Way Monday.

According to the Seattle Fire Department, they were first called to investigate when a tugboat saw something suspicious about a mile west of the downtown waterfront.

Firefighters at Station 5 deployed their fireboat to check the area, and quickly found the body of an adult man floating in the water. Medics confirmed the man was dead by the time they arrived.
