Book 40 Years Overdue Returned To Seattle Library

It's a book about rattlesnakes.

SEATTLE, WA - One very honest Seattle Public Library patron just returned a very overdue book.

The book - Rattlesnakes" by J. Frank Dobi, a "collection of folklore about rattlesnakes" - was due in June of 1976. Why did it take so long to return? A note attached to the book offers a simple explanation:

"Sorry, I just cleaned (started emptying) my bedroom closet. It was in a box."
