Child, 12, Seriously Injured In White Center Collision

WHITE CENTER, WA - A 12-year-old was hit by a car and seriously injured Monday night in the White Center area, according to the King County Sheriff's Office.

The incident was reported around 8 p.m. and happened near Southwest 110th Street and 16th Avenue Southwest, which is in a busy commercial area. The child was taken to Harborview for treatment of serious injuries.

Also on Monday, a school bus collided with a car in the Covington area. The children aboard the bus only had minor injuries. The other vehicle involved in the crash had five people inside, and two were taken to Harborview with critical injuries. The other three occupants ran from the scene, but were later arrested.
