Columbia City Theater Prepares for 100 More Years of Live Music & Arts with First Crowdfunding Campaign!
The historic performance space -- the "jewel of South Seattle" -- is raising money to fund improvements and upgrades.

The funds raised during this campaign will be used to upgrade sound and lighting technology, pay for some long overdue repairs, add a new marquee & awning out front, and create the capacity to smoothly execute an ownership transition to a new leadership team with deep roots in the South Seattle music community!
Under the leadership of "triple threat" Lara Lavi (musician, entrepreneur & lawyer) and with the support of a stellar family of employees, CCT’s future looks bright! Lara and her team have made great strides in the past 20 months, increasing revenue and expanding CCT’s audience base through innovation & strategic partnerships, but ingenuity and elbow grease alone won’t pave the way for CCT’s next century.
The vision for CCT includes increased opportunities for artists and audience members of color, especially recent immigrants & refugees, booking more community events in the gorgeous theater, offering season ticket packages to patrons, and launching a bistro for hungry concertgoers! The theater is also in pre-production for a new television series entitled Emerald City Live @ The Columbia City Theater that will help establish CCT as a national must-hit tour stop for today’s most exciting performing artists.

"Just like the public radio model, the Columbia City Theater can be listener supported. This campaign is a crucial first step to creating an inclusive space for our south Seattle arts community. We are booking amazing artists here six days a week and have also expanded our youth education opportunities. And now's the perfect time for our community to join the effort to keep the 'jewel of south Seattle' shiny and bright." --Lara Lavi, General Manager, Columbia City Theater
