David Byrne To Appear At MoPOP Event In Seattle
The Museum of Pop Culture announces 'Artist Interview: A Conversation with David Byrne' will be held on April 20.
From the Museum of Pop Culture: The Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP) announced an addition to its 2017 Pop Conference program, Artist Interview: A Conversation with David Byrne. This year’s conference theme is “Sign O’ the Times: Music and Politics” and Byrne will discuss his critically-acclaimed musical Here Lies Love which traces the non-violent restoration of democracy in the Philippines in 1986 and follows the meteoric rise and dramatic fall of the controversial First Lady of the Philippines, Imelda Marcos.

Tickets: Included with Pop Conference registration. $20 general public/$15 MoPOP members in advance; $25/$20 day of, on-site. Includes access to all Pop Conference events as well as four days of complimentary admission to MoPOP galleries, breakfast, and opening reception. Space is limited.
