Police Release Dash Video From Deadly Lake City Crash

One man died during the incident, which closed Lake City Way near I-5 until between 4 and 8 a.m. Thursday.

SEATTLE, WA - Police on Thursday afternoon released a police car dash-cam video showing a brief car chase related to an apparent domestic incident in Lake City. The chase ended when the driver crashed the vehicle near the I-5 interchange in the Roosevelt neighborhood.

The driver died in the crash, and a passenger was injured.

Police responded to an alleged domestic incident near 130th and 32nd Avenue Northeast around 3:45 a.m. Minutes later, they received a call about an argument between two men in the same area that involved gunfire.

When a police unit arrived on scene, a silver Honda sped away and onto Lake City Way. The officer followed until the chase ended when the Honda crashed near 78th Street and Lake City Way.

Police are still investigating the incident.
