Drinking And Parking Leads To Capitol Hill Felony Arrest
Police found a man sipping brandy in a parked minivan, and then they found a gun.

SEATTLE, WA - Everyone knows drinking and driving is wrong, but apparently fewer people know that drinking in the back of a parked car while in possession of a gun can also get you in trouble.
Responding to a report of people drinking in a car on Capitol Hill, officers noticed a man with a bottle of brandy inside a minivan along the 100 block of Broadway E near 1:30 a.m. Wednesday. The police said they realized the man was a convicted felon and had been driving before he pulled over to drink. But, his license was suspend and, at any rate, he was only allowed to drive vehicles with an ignition interlock device, which the van did not have.
After they arrested the man, they found a gun in a box underneath a seat in the minivan, which he wasn't supposed to have because of his felony record. Police brought him to the King County Jail on charges of firearms violations, driving with a suspended license, and driving without an interlock device.
