SDOT's Scott Kubly Among Resigning City Directors

SDOT head Scott Kubly will be replaced by a former SDOT director.

SEATTLE, WA - Mayor Jenny Durkan announced the resignations of several key city government directors Friday. Seattle Department of Transportation Director Scott Kubly and Office of Civil Rights Director Patricia Lally will leave their jobs by early January, according to the mayor's office.

Kubly will be replaced by interim SDOT director Goran Sparrman on Jan. 5. Sparrman served as interim director in 2014 after Ed Murray took office.

Lally will leave city government on Jan. 3 and will be replaced in the interim by Mariko Lockhart. Lockhart is currently the director of the Seattle Youth Violence Prevention Initiative.
