All 3 Finalists For Seattle Police Chief From Outside City
High ranking members of the Austin, Minneapolis, and Pittsburgh police departments are among the final candidates.

SEATTLE, WA - Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan on Friday afternoon revealed the three candidates for Seattle police chief, a group selected by Durkan's police chief search committee. Interim Chief Carmen Best, who took over last year for former chief Kathleen O'Toole, was not one of them.
The three candidates are:
- Minneapolis Deputy Patrol Chief Eddie Frizell
- Cameron McLay, former Pittsburgh police chief
- Austin (Texas) Assistant Chief Ely Reyes
The candidates were announced by Councilwoman M. Lorena Gonzalez, who was on the search committee. Durkan will interview the three remaining candidates and recommend one to City Council.
