Earth Day Weekend Forecast: Mother Nature Will Shine

On Earth Day, you'll actually be able to go out and enjoy nature without getting wet.

SEATTLE, WA - On Earth Day 2018, it looks like you'll be able to enjoy nature without needing a rain jacket.

The National Weather Service forecast for the weekend shows warm temperatures in the 60s and lots of sun. There's a 30 percent chance of rain on Saturday, but that's all.

The forecast gets even better for next week, with temperatures expected to reach the 70s. Here's the weekend forecast from the NWS:

Friday Night: Rain, mainly after 11pm. Low around 45. South wind 7 to 12 mph increasing to 15 to 20 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Saturday: A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly before 11am. Partly sunny, with a high near 56. Southwest wind 8 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 40. Light and variable wind becoming north 5 to 7 mph.

Sunday: Partly sunny, with a high near 60. Light north northeast wind becoming north northwest 6 to 11 mph in the morning.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 43.
