SEATTLE — All eastbound lanes of State Route 520 will close again late Thursday between Seattle and the Eastside, allowing for transportation crews to complete scheduled concrete work. During the closure, drivers will need to use alternate routes to get across Lake Washington. The roadway will reopen in time from the Friday morning commute.

Thursday night eastbound SR 520 closure:
- Date: Thursday, Nov. 11, 2021
- Time: 9 p.m. Thursday - 5 a.m. Friday
Planned closures are always subject to change and scheduled work could potentially be impacted by the incoming round of wet weather.

Drivers will also want to plan ahead for a full weekend closure of SR 520 planned later this month. According to the Washington State Department of Transportation, the road will be closed in both directions from late Friday, Nov. 19 until early Nov. 22. During that closure, WSDOT crews will work on removing the old 24th Avenue East overpass. The weekend work will also require the Montlake Bridge to close.
Drivers who rely on SR 520 can find the latest information on planned closures via WSDOT's Construction Corner.
