Ed Murray Sex Abuse Accuser Reveals Name: Report

The Kent man suing Seattle Mayor Ed Murray has revealed his identity to the Seattle Times.

SEATTLE, WA - The 46-year-old Kent man suing Seattle Mayor Ed Murray over alleged sex abuse in the 1980s has revealed himself as Delvonn Heckard. Heckard told the Seattle Times that he is revealing his name because he has "nothing to hide." Heckard filed the lawsuit against Murray two weeks ago.

The lawsuit alleges that Murray paid Heckard for sex in 1986 when Heckard was 15; the suit also alleges that Murray raped Heckard. Murray has pushed back against the allegations hard. He has held public press conferences and released statements denying the allegations.

In the suit, Heckard described specific parts of Murray's body, including a mole on his scrotum. Last week, through his lawyer, Murray publicly revealed the results of a physical exam that refuted Heckard's description of the mayor's alleged mole.

Murray has said that he will not step down as mayor, and will seek reelection this year - despite calls for him to step aside.

Previously, Heckard was known in the lawsuit only as "D.H."
