Ex-Microsoft Exec Indicted For Wire Fraud: Feds
Jeff Tran, 45, allegedly tried to steal about $1.5 million while he was director of sports marketing and alliances at Microsoft.

SEATTLE, WA - A former Microsoft executive was indicted Wednesday on five counts of wire fraud. Jeff Tran, 45, allegedly attempted to steal about $1.5 million while he was director of sports marketing and alliances at Microsoft.
According to the Seattle U.S. Attorney's office, Tran was in charge of Microsoft's partnership with the NFL. Two times, he allegedly created fake invoices in order to steal hundreds of thousands of dollars. Tran is also accused of selling Super Bowl tickets that were given to Microsoft as gifts for employees. He made about $200,000 off the tickets, according to the U.S. Attorney.
Microsoft eventually found out about the fake invoices. Tran paid back about $775,000 to the company, according to the U.S. Attorney.
