Expect Deluge Of Rain, Wind This Weekend: Puget Sound Forecast

Maybe just stay indoors this weekend - that is, until you lose power.

SEATTLE, WA - Batten the hatches and get your rain slicker out, it's going to be a wet and windy weekend across Puget Sound, according to current forecasts. Rain is in the forecast pretty much straight through Sunday, and wind gusts could reach as high as 30 MPH on some days.

Heavy rain and wind had already caused damaged across the area Friday morning. About 3,500 Puget Sound Energy customers from Bellingham to Olympia were without power Friday morning.

Friday: A 50 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 57. Southwest wind 8 to 13 mph increasing to 15 to 20 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph.

Friday Night: A 20 percent chance of rain after 11pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 50. South southwest wind 7 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph.

Saturday: Rain, mainly after 11am. High near 56. South wind 14 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Saturday Night: Rain. Low around 50. Breezy, with a south southwest wind 17 to 22 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Sunday: Rain, mainly before 11am. High near 55. Breezy, with a south southwest wind 18 to 23 mph becoming west southwest 5 to 10 mph. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Sunday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 46.
