Father's Day Forecast: Hot And Windy In Puget Sound

Say goodbye to the 60s - temperatures are set to soar this weekend into the 80s.

SEATTLE, WA - If you're planning any outdoor activities with dad this weekend, better pack the sunblock. It's going to be sunny and temperatures are going to soar into the 80s by Sunday, higher than average for this time of year.

According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will hit about 82 across much of Puget Sound on Sunday. The record high in the Seattle area on June 17 was 91 degrees recorded in 1969. Here's the full Father's Day weekend forecast from the NWS:

Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 71. North northwest wind 5 to 11 mph.

Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 54. North northwest wind 6 to 13 mph becoming east northeast after midnight.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 76. Light north wind becoming north northwest 8 to 13 mph in the afternoon.

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 57.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 82.
